Direct Sales & Home Based Business Network

The Direct Sales and Home-Based Business Network (DSHBBN), is the outgrowth of a 9 year old women’s group, called Women of Fellowship. In 2009 Women of Fellowship, consisting mostly of women who were involved in direct sales or home-based businesses, in some way, saw the need to support each in their entrepreneurial efforts. In January 2010, The Direct Sales and Home-Based Business Network was launched at the group’s first Mini Direct Sales and Home-Based Business Expo.

Men and women are now part of the group. Business types include: photography, consulting, natural health, cosmetics, floral arranging, folk art, graphic design, jewelry making, couture fashions, self-book publishing, novelty gifts, and the list is growing.

On a monthly basis, network members attend a 4 hour session that may consist of networking, support services, product show and tell, motivational seminars, relevant discussions and interactive training. Network members are encouraged to support one another by purchasing from and referring others to the network.

On a routine basis DSHBBN provides members with event dates for vendor opportunities. During the year network members may participate in vendor opportunities as a group or as individuals.  In 2010, DSHBB supplied vendors for, City of Wilmington Grand Prix Cycle Races, Stop the Violence Coalition, Inc, Hillcrest-Bellefonte Bazaar, Laff Til It Hurts Comedy Show and other events.

In 2011, DSHBBN looks forward to continued growth, as we promote direct sales and home-based businesses as viable opportunities for economic empowerment and personal growth.
